I bring more than 40 years of building and remodeling experience to every home inspection. I’m a licensed New York State home inspector, and I spent 35 years teaching Technology Engineering Education in public schools. Today, I also serve as a faculty member for 2026 continuing education classes for New York State home inspectors. I’ve been building and remodeling homes since high school, and I inspect every home as though someone in my own family were buying it.
My years in the classroom taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly, so I take time to answer questions and help clients understand what I find. My interest in building science led me to complete the Building Performance Institute’s Building Analyst course. In 2018, I put that knowledge to work remodeling a 200-year-old farmhouse to make it more energy efficient and easier to maintain. That experience continues to shape how I look at older homes and the possibilities for improving them.
Outside of work, I enjoy kayaking, fishing, skiing, and camping, especially in the Adirondacks. I’m also learning to tie flies and play guitar.”
